He Has Set His Affection On Us

this video is amazing. right around minute 5 the testimonies start. 

last night my whole team headed down to dupont circle for some street evangelism. this is how the night started. from this place we talked to numerous people in that park. throughout the night i probably got to share the gospel with over 5 people and pray for about the same. 

a few girls on my team got to pray for three guys and their original design. original design is what God dreamt for us, however for many people they never know the incredible things God has placed inside, instead they believe the lies the enemy has spoken into their lives since childhood. it was really powerful and we were all hearing similar things from the Lord and those three guys got rocked. 

then a group of us headed down a street that was filled with clubs and lots of drunk people hanging outside. it was amazing - walking out of passivity and fear of man and just approaching people and saying, “hey there is this man named Jesus who radically transformed my life. would you like to know him?” two of my favorite times from the night:

a guy walks up to me and says, “you seem like a friendly person. are you a friendly person?” to which i laughed and said, “well, yes, i think i’m a friendly person.” someone in my group said, “you probably walked up to the most friendliest person on this street.” haha - well, he just wanted me to take a picture of him and his friends. but, as i handed back the camera to him i asked him if he wanted to know a bit of my story because i wasn’t always the friendliest person. from there i got to share a part of my testimony and then the gospel message. 

later on i heard these two guys bashing on women. i could tell that either one of the guys had been cheated on or something to that nature. i walked up to these guys with a friend and simply said, “hey, i overheard your conversation and i’m a girl, but i want to let you know that women will always let you down. there is only one person who will not let you down and his name is Jesus.” from there i got to have a really good conversation and speak truth over the two guys. what’s funny is they said how much they respected me and how if it would have been someone else they probably would have cursed me out. 

when the Gospel message is backed in hours of intercession and worship, then when we walk out the truth that has transformed us - it transforms others! by stepping out and not succumbing to fear, God is so pleased! we all felt the backing of heaven and the doors swing wide open for us to share the gospel. 

i’m loving dc! this trip is so life-giving. the community i’m living with is amazing and many of these people i will be living and ministering with next year. it’s only been three days of ministry and incredible things are happening. please keep praying for favor and breakthrough!
